Votivpark is a play ground right next to the Votivkirche on Waehringerstrasse in the 9th. It is less than a five minute walk from Schottentor and is accessible by every tram that runs through Schottentor: 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44 (stop “Schottentor”).
This is a small playground with a sand pit (that generally becomes a mud pit thanks to the water pump), swings, and a few climbing structures. There is a bridge between the two sections of the playground, which is my daughter’s favorite part of the park. There are benches and trees for shade, but no facilities. A fun option is to cross Waehringerstrasse and go one block towards Schottentor, where you will find an Aida Konditorei for your bathroom and snacking needs.
