Hackenberg playground is located on Am Neustiftblick in the 19th district: take the 35A to the “Kleingarten Verein Hackenberg” stop, turn right from the stop, turn left onto Wilkensweg, and then right onto Hackenbergweg. It’s a 10 minute walk from the bus stop, all uphill.

This playground has a fantastic view of the vineyards of Neustift am Wald and the edges of the Wienerwald. It has a couple climbing structures, swings, riding animals for smaller kids, and two sandpits (one covered, one uncovered). The playground also has a couple picnic tables: one shaded, one not shaded. There is also lots of green area (shaded and not) suitable for a picnic blanket.

There is a guest garden adjacent to the playground (Schutzhaus Hackenberg; open daily 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.) and a public-accessible WC with running water. This is a great place to spend a sunny morning or afternoon, and would be an easy place to take multiple children.
