Rathaus Park

There is a sizeable playground located in the corner of the Rathaus Park, which is accessible by the 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44 tram (stop “Schottenring”), the D and 1 tram (stop “Rathaus”), 2 tram (stop “Rathausplatz”), and U2 (stop “Schottenring”). There are also a few parking garages nearby.

The play ground is fenced in with a latched gate at either end. It has benches, some in the shade and some not, and a picnic table located in a completely shaded area. It has the basic playground attractions such as slides, climbing structures, swings, and see saws.

What sets this park apart (in my opinion) is the large, walk-in sandbox and a generous water table. If your kids enjoy either, or both, come prepared with a towel. There is also a non-port a potty WC building right outside the playground gate for additional cleaning-off needs.
